How to update any sony camera (a6300)

Instruction :

Go to this website: 

And select the camera model that you want to update.
In my case it Sony Alpha A6300.


The steps to check the modal number & firmware version.
  • Power on the camera.
  • Press the Menu button.
  • At the Menu screen, use the control wheel to select Setup, and then select Version.
  • The firmware version is displayed on the camera screen.
  • Firmware Version Screen



Note: If the current firmware version is 2.01or higher, the camera does not need this update.

WARNING! This firmware update and any changes incurred are permanent. It's not possible to go back. By continuing this update process, downloading and updating this firmware, you acknowledge that you are aware and understand that this update cannot be reversed. 


Requirments :
  • A computer with:
    • Available Hard Disk Space: 500 MB or more
    • Installed Memory (RAM): 512 MB or more
  • Camera power supply:
    • This update can only be performed when the remaining battery the level has three bars or more. 
  • USB cable:
    • IMPORTANT: Update functionality is not guaranteed with any other USB cables.
  • Remove the memory card from the camera
  • Make sure all other devices are disconnected from the camera
  • Save all work and close all other programs.

    How to download...
    • Select the modal and open the page, click on 'Download'.
    • Select the operating system of your PC.
    • Click on 'ILCE-6300 Camera Firmware Update (Windows)'
    • Scroll down the terms and conditions section and click on 'Download'







    How to Install...

    Installation :

    • Download the 'Update_ILCEXXXXXX.exe' file.
    • Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the 'Update_ILCEXXXXXXXX.exe' file and open it.
    • The System Software Updater starts.

    • Power on the camera.
    • 'Mass Storage' is selected in the USB Connection setting of the camera:

    • Make sure the memory card is removed from the camera.
    • Connect the camera to your computer. USB Mode will appear on the camera screen.
      Notes:
      • If the message Could not find the camera for this update appears on the computer display, disconnect and reconnect the USB cable, or try another USB port on the computer.
      • Sometimes when the camera is connected to the computer with the USB cable, a message appears to restart the computer. If this occurs, briefly remove the battery and disconnect the AC adaptor (if connected), restart the computer, and then start the firmware update procedure again.
    • At the Firmware Updater screen, click Next.

















    • Click on 'Finish'.
    • Disconnect the camera, turn it off, and remove the battery.
    • And after a few seconds reinsert it.
